Shopping:

Spili has supermarkets, bakeries, traditional shops with local products, pharmacies, doctors and a Health Center. In addition you can find restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The closest shop to Villa Thalassa is a small one in Agios Pavlos, next to the Agios Pavlos Hotel. They have small things like Sunscreen, snacks or snorcheling equipment.

In the Villa Thalassa we sell beautiful handmade gemstone jewellery by Saiti from Greece.

Food + Drinks:

In Pavlos Place, 3 minutes walking distance from Villa Thalassa, you can find tasty, high quality food. From olive oil to orange cake, almost everything is selfmade and harvested from their own gardens. Breakfast, lunch and dinner a la carte, or try their many daily specialities. Almost every beach has a great bar or restaurant of some kind, so feel free to discover many more great places to eat.

Villa Thalassa/ecology

The tap water in Villa Thalassa is high quality and 100% drinkable. There are glas bottles in every room to fill up, as an ecological and inexpensive alternative for plastic bottles from the supermarket. Please collect the used espresso capsules in the recycling canister intended for them. Please throw the toilet paper into the bin beside the toilet and not (!) into the toilet, because the ecological sewage system in this region of Crete is not made for toilet paper and would clog up. The bins are emptied almost every day. Roomservice is available until 1pm, if you prefer your privacy, you can renounce it. The cushions and outdoor mattress for the stone benches on the terraces of the rooms Sunset and Sunrise can be found in the space under the mattress of the bed. To access them, pull up the mattress with the small plastic handle on the foot-end of the bed. Please close all windows when leaving the room. Please also turn off off the lights, ceiling fan and air conditioning when leaving the room.

Surroundings/excursions:

Villa Thalassa is surrounded by beautiful beaches and bays like Agios Pavlos, untouched nature, hills, mountains and canyons, that can be discovered by foot.

With a car you can visit beautiful places like the Palm Beach and monastery Preveli, with the canyon „Megalopotamos“, the beautiful old town of Rethymno, or the Fortezza also in Rethymnon. The excavations of the minoic Palace of Phaistos, where the the Diskos of Phaistos was found and the caves of Matala.

We wish you a wonderful relaxing holiday in Triopetra,
